The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Tourism, Archaeology and Sports, Syed Aqil Shah on Wednesday said that a separate artisan complex would be established at historic Gor Khatri Archaeological Complex with multi-facet facilities of craftsmen and traditional food. This, he stated while talking of officials during his visit to historic Gor Khatri Archaeological Complex here on Wednesday.
He said that government was taken steps for making the Gor Khatri Archaeological Complex as hub of traditional activities. For the purpose, he said that the complex would be provided with all kind of facilities to artisan with provision of separate facility.
The provincial minister said that efforts are being made to maintain old glory while keeping in view historic important of this site. "We have also plan to establish a handicrafts complex at Gor Khatri, wherein all kind of facilities would be available for craftsmen to display their skilled and traditional work," he maintained.
Syed Aqil Shah said the government would take every possible step to protect sanctity of Hindu temple in Gor Khatri Archaeological Complex. He informed that the West Gate of Gor Khatri should be renovated in such a way that cultural activities could also be arranged there. On the occasion, he issued directives to the concerned authorities to immediately start work on the face lifting and development of Gor Khatri and submit its design plans to the Secretary Tourism and Archaeology within ten days.
