LAHORE: Speaker Punjab Assembly Ch Parvez Elahi and MNA Moonis Elahi called on Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar here on Monday and exchanged views about the budget session, political situation in the province, peoples' welfare programme, strategy for safety against Corona and further strengthening of the alliance.
Chief Minister Usman Buzdar, on a suggestion by Ch Parvez Elahi, accorded approval in principle for establishing 500 beds mother and child hospital in Gujrat. During the meeting, Provincial Minister Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed was also present.
Thanking Chief Minister for according approval to establishing the hospital in Gujrat, Parvez Elahi said that in the journey for progress and development we are standing with Tehrik-e-Insaaf and Chief Minister Usman Buzdar.
He said the opposition neither has agenda for welfare of the people nor for combating Coronavirus. "Former rulers did injustice with the people by ending landmark projects of my tenure. We only believe in service to the people and will continue working together in the process of providing relief to the people of the province."
Elahi said that wishes of those creating rift in the alliances will never be fulfilled. Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar is working hard in serving the people, he added.
Appreciating the efforts of Ch Parvez Elahi for smoothly running the budget session, Buzdar said we are allies and will remain so.
"There has been improvement in working relationship and strengthening of the alliance with Pakistan Muslim League than previously. We were one and will remain so in future as well.
