CHICAGO: Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) wheat futures ended mostly firm on Tuesday, lifted by short-covering in a second straight session of gains after sinking to 9-1/2-month lows last week, traders said.
Gains were limited by plentiful global supplies and rising winter wheat supplies from the ongoing US harvest.
CBOT July soft red winter wheat ended a penny higher at $4.86 per bushel.
K.C. July hard red winter wheat gained 3-3/4 cents to settle at $4.35 per bushel. MGEX July spring wheat finished 4 cents lower at $5.14-3/4 a bushel.
