Federal Minister for Science Fawad Chaudhry has said that he will remain a minister as long as he has the confidence of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

In a tweet, the minister said that he will not resign just on the wish of someone. "Politics is not a game of weak-hearted people," he tweeted

In an interview to the Voice of America, Chaudhry revealed that soon after Imran Khan became prime minister and his party came into governance, quarrels among Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Umar and Tareen began.

He further said that Tareen used his influence to get Umar removed from the Cabinet and later Umar got Tareen out.

Ever since his statement, Chaudhry has come under criticism. During the federal cabinet meeting chaired by the PM, Umar and Qureshi objected to the interview, saying Chaudhry had acted very irresponsibly while speaking to the media.

Meanwhile, Punjab Information Minister Fayyaz ul Hassan Chohan said he would advise the information minister to resign from his ministry and national assembly seat if he has reservations over the way their party works.
