LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League (PML) central leader Moonis Elahi called on Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar at the Governor's House on Friday and exchanged views on prevailing political situation in the country and relations between the PTI and the PML besides other matters.
The governor said that the government and the allies are standing with each other. "Opposition dreams every day about the end of government. People and the allies are with the government and next general election will be held in 2023. The Tehreek-e-Insaf is pursuing policy of taking the allies along at all levels." He said Prime Minister Imran Khan is taking all decisions in the people's interest and there will be no compromise on the process of accountability.
Moonis Elahi said on the occasion accountability should be seen being done on both sides and it should be undertaken without any discrimination. He said the government and we together will rid the country of all problems. "We believe in service to the people and are with the government. We know that problems of the people can only be solved by supporting the government," he added.
