Pakistan to reopen Kartarpur Corridor on Monday

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi announced on Saturday that Pakistan will reopen Kartarpur Corridor on Monday.

In a tweet, the minister said that while many places of worship are being reopened around the world, Pakistan too is preparing to open the corridor for all Sikh pilgrims. He further said that Pakistan conveys its readiness to India to open the Kartarpur Corridor on June 29.

"To ensure adherence to the health guidelines, Pakistan has invited India to work out necessary SOPs for reopening of the corridor," Foreign Office said.The corridor was closed in March due to the increasing number of coronavirus cases.
