(Karachi) A six-year-old girl lost her life after a kite string slit her throat on Lahore’s Bandar Road, media reported on Sunday.
Police officials said the girl was returning home from Model Town with her parents on a motorcycle when a kite string slit her throat. They added the incident took place around 2am.
Following the incident, the deputy inspector-general of the Lahore police (operations) suspended the Sandha SHO and ordered a detailed investigation into the case.
Meanwhile, the police are trying to find out whether the string belonged to a kite or was a hanging wire.
Earlier, an 18-year-old was killed after a kite string slit his throat in Lahore’s Islampura area.
The victim, identified as Usman, was a resident of Narowal and worked in a factory at Bund Road. The victim was on a motorcycle with his younger brother when the incident occurred.
