Development Minister Asad Umar has urged people to take precautions and follow doctors' advice as coronavirus cases in the country reach 225,283.
During a presser on Saturday, the minister advised people to wear face masks, wash hands and practice social distance. He further said that people must listen to their doctors' advice and stay safe.
Umar added that if people do not take precautions, then it will be very difficult to curb the spread of the novel virus.
The minister lauded the doctors, paramedical staff and health workers for working round the clock. He announced that 189 beds have been added at district hospitals in Islamabad.
A 250-bed facility will be inaugurated next week, he added.
