ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Youth Affairs Muhammad Usman Dar Tuesday said the senior leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Khawaja Asif had not provided a single ventilator to the government hospitals of Sialkot despite being elected Member of the National Assembly (MNA) from the city for the last 30 years.
“You have been elected from Sialkot during the last 30 years but you have not provided even a single ventilator to people of Sialkot,” he said in a video message released here.
He challenged the PML-N leader to negate his statement regarding ventilators, while rejecting his criticism on the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government projects.
The SAPM said, “I can understand Khawaja Asif's pain and anguish as he is criticizing us out of his frustration, developed especially after loss of his job from the UAE (United Arab Emirates), which he availed to keep Iqama (residency permit), due to the [present] government.”
Usman Dar said Khawaja Asif also got panic in response to the public reaction which he had been facing due to increased poverty and unemployment in the country, created by his government in their past tenure.
He also rejected the notion that the current government was backing the mafia.
