JUI-F Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has expressed strong reaction to the restoration of the Nato supply routes. The party said it tantamount to the insult of the parliament and result of the pressure of United States. This was stated by Provincial Secretary Information, JUI-F, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Abdul Jalil Jan while briefing newsmen regarding decisions taken on reopening of Nato supply during the meeting of the provincial executive council of the party here on Saturday.
The meeting of the provincial executive council due to the illness of provincial amir, Maulana Amanullah was held here with Syed Rahim Shah in the chair. The meeting was attended by MNA Maulana Mohammad Qasim, Shams-ur-Rehman Shamsi, Maulana Fazal Ali, Abdul Jalil Jan, Sahibzada Khalid Jan, Asif Iqbal, Amanat Shah, Mufti Abdul Shakoor, Noor-ul-Islam, Maulana Aziz Ahmad, Ashraf Ali and other members.
The meeting discussed the central council meeting scheduled for July 8 and 9, grand tribal jirga, situation arising out of the restoration of Nato supply, up coming general elections, prevailing political situation and other important matters of the party.
The meeting expressed deep grief and sorrow over the sadden death of former member National Assembly, Qari Abdul Bais Siddiqui and member Provincial Assembly, Ziyad Akram Khan Durrani and termed their untimely deaths as irreparable loss for the party. The meeting paid tributes to their political and religious services and expressed sympathies with the bereaved family and offered fateha for the eternal peace of the departed souls. The meeting also prayed for the speedy recovery of the ailing Sheikh Maulana Amanullah.
He said that the party has decided for holding 'Grand Jirga' regarding the future of Fata in Nishter Hall on July 15. The jirga will be attended by top tribal leaders and will frame future line of action in light of the opinion and recommendations of tribesmen. To review the arrangements for the Grand Tribal Jirga, the meetings of different committees and Fata parliamentary party have been convened on 11 and 12 July in the provincial secretariat of the party. The meeting will finalise arrangements for the Grand Jirga. The meeting, he said had appreciated the holding of the central executive committee meeting in Peshawar on July 8 and 9 and finalised arrangements in this regard.
The meeting of the central executive committee will start on July 8 and will continue till July 9. Executive members from all provinces, Azad Kashmir and tribal agencies will participate in the meeting. The meeting termed consecutive drone attacks in the wake of the restoration of Nato supply in tribal area a timid decision and a slap on the face of rulers. The meeting also condemned the prolong shortage of electricity and massive power load shedding and demanded seeking immediate solution to the problem of energy crisis.
