Punjab's coronavirus tally has reached 89,023 after the province reported 484 new virus cases.
In the past 24 hours, the province tested more than 7368 people for the infections, Punjab Spokesperson Musarrat Cheema tweeted. Out of these, 484 people tested COVID-19 positive.
During the last 24 hours, the province also reported eight new deaths. Provincial death toll stands at 2059, Cheema said. Punjab has reported the highest number of deaths due to the virus.
So far, Punjab has tested over 625,000 people for the virus. 64815 patients have also recovered from the novel virus. The total number of recoveries in the country is now 183,737.
