Prime Minister Imran Khan has urged his nation to continue to observe the standard operating procedures (SOPS) during Eid ul Azha or else the country will have another spike in the coronavirus cases as seen in Eid ul Fitr.
In a series of tweets on Friday, the PM said that Pakistan is among fortunate countries where coronavirus cases and death rate has gone down, unlike India, where cases have crossed 1 million.
The PM continued that the decrease in coronavirus cases in Pakistan is due to the result of the government's smart lockdown policy and the people observing SOPS.
Ordering strict implementation of SOPs, the PM has urged the people to celebrate Eid with simplicity so 'as not to repeat what happened last Eid when SOPs were ignored'.
