HYDERABAD: The youth from one of the most deprived districts of Pakistan, Tharparkar makes it marked by an unprecedented achievement during Sindh Board of Technical Education (SBTE) examinations, as 9 out of the top 10 positions including the top 6 were secured by the fellows of Thar Associate Engineer Program (TAEP).
The TAEP is fully sponsored by Engro Powergen Thar Limited (EPTL), where a batch of 30 students currently studying at Technical Training Centre (TTC) Daharki.
According to the results declared by SBTE on Saturday, 95 percent of the TAEP fellows also secured A+ grade. The TEAP fellows also secured 7 out of top 10 positions last year from SBTE.
In continuous efforts for a prosperous Thar and to create skilled workforce, Thar Foundation is steering a three-year Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) program for eligible Thari candidates on 100 percent scholarship by EPTL. The objective of this program was to prepare candidates for technical employment opportunities at Thar Coal and future projects.
Congratulating the entire batch of TAEP, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Engro Energy Limited (EEL) Ahsan Zafar Syed said it's a proud moment for the company and for entire Thar. Fellows' relentless hard work has yielded the results and the pride they have brought to their families and people of Tharparkar, said Ahsan.
