Autonomy should be ensured at district and city level: Kamal

KARACHI: Pak Sarzameen Party Chairman Syed Mustafa Kamal on Tuesday said that the tragedy of Pakistan is that the corrupt and incompetent rulers have occupied the powers and resources of citizens by misinterpreting and defaming democracy.

All powers and resources are confined to the Prime Minister's House and Chief Minister's House. Pakistan is in a very precarious situation internally, externally and economically. "We have been saying for the last four years that the only way out of this situation is to make it mandatory for the provinces to issue PFC awards for the districts in the same manner in which the NFC is given to the provinces."

Autonomy should be ensured at the district and city level in the same way provinces have been enjoying their autonomy. The PSP has offered a solution to every problem of Pakistan but the rulers are not ready to listen to us, the consequences of which are being felt by the nation today.

Time is proving that the later our recommendations are accepted, the more the nation will suffer. If the people trust us, they will be proud of their decision, Kamal said.

When we can administered Karachi in the best way, we are capable of running the whole of Pakistan. He expressed these views while talking to a delegation of prominent businessmen. He further said that incompetent federal and provincial governments have failed to establish their writ. He said that PSP is the only political party which is offering workable solutions to all the problems of Pakistan. The PSP is pursuing a policy of bringing together all sub-nationalities, religions and sects. People from all walks of life have understood our words.
