KARACHI: Pakistan Bar Council (PBC), Sindh Bar Council (SBC), Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) and Sindh High Court Bar Association (SHBCA) Thursday jointly demanded opening of courts in Sindh under Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Lawyers associations demanded Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP), Chief Justice Sindh High Court (SHC) and Administration Committee SHC to devise a strategy for allowing normal working at the courts.
The associations made this demand in view of Covid19 and the latest situation of infections in the province and stated that lawyers and litigants are facing hardships in the present situation.
Vice Chairman SBC Haider Imam Rizvi, Rasheed A. Rizvi, Akhtar Hussain, Mohammad Aqil, members of PBC and representatives of SBCA and SHBCA attended the joint meeting of associations.
