Heavy rainfall likely in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha

Heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places of Rawalpindi, Gujranwala and Sargodha during next 24 to 36 hours, said the Meteorological Department on Sunday. Rain/dust-thunderstorm is expected at scattered places of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Kohat, Bannu, D.I.Khan
divisions, upper/central
Punjab, including Islamabad/ Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, D.G.Khan, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Multan divisions and Kashmir during next 24 hours.
Likewise, light rain/dust thunderstorm is also likely at isolated places in lower Sindh (Mirpurkhas, Karachi divisions), Zhob, Sibi divisions and Gilgit-Baltistan. Hot and dry weather is expected elsewhere in the country during next 24 hours. Seasonal low lies over north-west Balochistan and adjoining areas with its trough extending to south-east wards.
Monsoon currents are also penetrating into upper parts of the country. Rainfall occurred during last 24 hours was: Dera Ismael Khan 76 mm, Sargodha 71 mm, Risalpur 57mm, Jhang 52mm, Faisalabad 46mm, T.T.Sing 37 mm, Joharabad 30 mm, Noorpur Thal 26 mm, Bhakhar 25 mm, Multan 15 mm, Maianwali and Parachinar 12 mm, Malamjabba and Kotli 10 mm each. The highest maximum temperature was recorded in Dalbandeen,i.e. 46 C. Maximum temperatures of other cities were: Islamabad: 35 C, Lahore: 36 C, Quetta: 38 C, Karachi: 34 C, Peshawar: 39 C, Muzaffarabad: 37 C, Gilgit: 40 C, Murree: 26 C, Multan: 40 C, and Faisalabad: 39 C.
