KARACHI: On Friday, Pakistan Rupee again exhibited mixed behaviour on market close. It gained value against USD in both interbank and open markets while losing value against Euro and AED in open market.
INTER-BANK MARKET RATES: RATES: In the interbank market, Pakistan Rupee had gained 35 paisas for buying and 30 paisas for selling against USD over yesterday's rates closing at 167.20 and 167.30 respectively.
OPEN MARKET RATES: In the open market, PKR had gained 40 paisas for buying and 30 paisas for selling against USD over yesterday's rates closing at 167.30 and 167.70 respectively.
Against Euro, PKR had lost 50 paisas for both buying and selling over yesterday's rates closing at 192 and 193.50 respectively.
Against UAE Dirham, PKR had lost10 paisas for buying and 5 paisas for selling closing at 45.10 and 45.30 respectively.
Against Saudi Riyal, PKR remained unchanged for both buying and selling closing at 43.90 and 44.10 respectively.

RUPEE IN LAHORE: The Pak rupee depreciated its worth on the buying side while it stayed unchanged on the selling side in relation to the greenback in the local currency market on Friday.
According to currency dealers, the greenback gained 10 for buying and closed at Rs 167.60 against the overnight closing rate of Rs 167.50 whereas it did not witness any change in its supply situation as it firmly maintained its opening trend for selling at Rs 168.60.
Furthermore, the rupee continued downward slide for the second consecutive day against the pound sterling. Resultantly, the pound's buying and selling rates further improved from Thursday's closing of Rs 210.20 and Rs 211.80 to Rs 210.50 and Rs 212.00 respectively, they added.
RUPEE IN ISLAMABAD AND RAWALPINDI: The rupee gained 30 paisas against the dollar at the open currency markets of Islamabad and Rawalpindi here on Friday.
The dollar opened at Rs168.20 (buying) and Rs 168.30(selling) against last rate of Rs168.50 (buying) and Rs 168.60(selling).
It closed at Rs168.20 (buying) and Rs 168.30(selling).
The buying and selling rates of one tola of gold was Rs. 116,500(selling) and Rs 116,000(selling) in the local Sarafa (gold) markets of twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
