KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Energy Imtiaz Ahmed Sheikh on Friday said he would hold an important meeting with National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) in Islamabad immediately after Eidul Azha to discuss and resolve the issue of loadshedding in Sindh including Karachi.
He said due to prolonged and unannounced loadshedding, people in Sindh under the sizzling heat are passing a miserable life. He said due to the poor performance of KE, Hesco and Sukkur sepco, masses are fed up.He said he has talked to the NEPRA, and they have accepted his request to hold a meeting on the issue.
The administrative control of these three power companies fall under the Federal government jurisdictions, and Sindh government is in constant in touch with federation. Imtiaz said some important decisions are expected after a meeting with the NEPRA.
