The United States has provided an additional 100 respiratory ventilators to Pakistan to cope with the coronavirus pandemic.
The respiratory ventilators provided through USAID, were handed over to NDMA Chairman Lieutenant General Muhammad Afzal by US Ambassador Paul Jones. The shipment of the ventilators will be deployed across the country,
This is the second consignment of ventilators from the US, the first arrived on July 3. These ventilators have already been delivered to hospitals and healthcare facilities throughout Pakistan.
Addressing the USAID ventilators handing over ceremony in Islamabad, the NDMA chairman said that hospitals are being upgraded across the country to facilitate the coronavirus patients.
He further said that NDMA is acquiring all necessary equipment to deal with coronavirus.
