KARACHI: On Thursday, Pakistan Rupee continued to lose value against USD in both interbank and open markets and against Euro in open market.
INTER-BANK MARKET RATES: RATES: In the interbank market, Pakistan Rupee had lost 40 paisas for both buying and selling against USD over yesterday's rates closing at 167.10 and 167.30 respectively.
OPEN MARKET RATES: In the open market, PKR had lost 45 paisas for buying and 35 paisas for selling against USD over yesterday's rates closing at 167.15 and 167.35 respectively.
Against Euro, PKR had lost 50 paisas for buying while remaining unchanged for selling over yesterday's rates closing at 193.50 and 195 respectively.
Against UAE Dirham, PKR had lost 10 paisas for buying while gaining 10 paisas for selling closing at 45.10 and 45.30 respectively.
Against Saudi Riyal, PKR had remained unchanged for buying and had gained 37 paisas for selling closing at 44 and 44.10 respectively.

RUPEE IN LAHORE: The Pak rupee depreciated its worth in the process of trading against the greenback and the British pound in the open currency market on Thursday.
According to currency dealers, the short supply phenomenon of the US dollar prevailed throughout the trading session which helped its appreciation for buying and selling at Rs 167.00 and Rs168.20 against the overnight closing rate of Rs 166.50 and Rs 168.00 respectively.
Similarly, the national currency also followed suit in relation to the pound sterling that was bought and sold at Rs 214.00 and Rs 215.70 against the Wednesday's closing trend of Rs 213.50 and Rs 214.50 respectively, they added.
RUPEE IN ISLAMABAD AND RAWALPINDI: The dollar gained 40 paisas against the rupee at the open currency markets of Islamabad and Rawalpindi here on Thursday.
The dollar opened Rs 167.50 (buying) and Rs 167.60(selling) against last rate of Rs 167.10 (buying) and Rs 167.20(selling).
It closed at Rs 167.50 (buying) and Rs 167.60(selling).
The buying and selling rates of one tola of gold was Rs 122,750 (selling) and Rs 122,500(selling) in the local Sarafa (gold) markets of twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
