KARACHI: An Accountability Court (AC) on Wednesday indicted former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi in the illegal appointments in Pakistan State Oil (PSO) case.
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, former secretary of petroleum Arshad Mirza and former managing director of PSO Sheikh Imranul Haq appeared in the court.
Abbasi, however, pleaded not guilty to all the charges read out by the Accountability Judge.
Abbasi has been accused of illegally appointing Sheikh Imranul Haq as managing director of PSO and Yaqoob Sattar as deputy managing director (finance) while he was serving as the minister of petroleum and natural resources. The court summoned witness of the National Accountability Bureau in the next hearing of the case on August 27, 2020.
