Pakistan's 'political map'

06 Aug, 2020

LETTER: Nothing could be more appropriate than the unveiling of Pakistan's "political map" by the prime minister on the eve of first anniversary of India's unilateral step of depriving the held-Jammu of Kashmir of its special status. India's claim in the

Sir Creek area has also been negated in this map. Narendra Modi's BJP government took this oppressive step on August 5, 2019 of revoking Article 370, and New Delhi is now trying to get the people from outside settled in Kashmir, so as to convert Kashmiri into a minority in their own areas. As stated by President Arif Alvi, India is following in the footsteps of Israel. In other words, New Delhi is employing Tel Aviv's strategy in the Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The "political map" development has certainly added to the Kashmir cause in a big way. All political parties deserve commendation for evolving consensus on country's "political map". The Islamic world in particular is required to throw its weight behind the oppressed Kashmiris without any further loss of time.
