Nine deaths, 487 coronavirus cases reported in Sindh during 24 hours

  • CM says 6,022 patients are under treatment in the province out of which 212 are in critical condition

(Karachi) At least 487 new coronavirus cases were reported while nine patients succumbed to the disease in Sindh during the past 24 hours, media reported on Friday.

As per details, the total number of Covid-19 patients in the province has reached 123,246.

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said that the tally of deaths due to coronavirus has reached 2,259 in the province. He said that 447 more patients recovered from the deadly disease, taking the total to 114,965.

Murad maintained that 6,022 patients are under treatment in the province out of which 212 are in critical condition.

Coronavirus cases are on the decline in the country. The government claimed that it managed to control the pandemic and eased lockdown and restrictions to support economy.

Earlier, an alarming increase in number of Covid-19 cases was witnessed in the country. In June, Prime Minister Imran Khan warned the people and and business community of taking a strict action for violating the standard operations procedures (SOPs) issued by the government to stem the spread of Covid-19.
