ISLAMABAD: Minister for Aviation Division Ghulam Sarwar Khan on Saturday said that the government was committed to restore the prestige and glory of the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) and several steps were being taken in that regard.
He, while talking to the media, said that the PIA would be made such an airline that the people would take pride in traveling through it. He said safety of the passengers traveling on PIA was his foremost priority.
He said the PIA arranged special flights to bring back Pakistanis from various countries in the Covid-19 pandemic.
He said the coronavirus cases were continuing to decline in the country owing to effective strategies
and polices of the government.
He urged the general public to strictly follow the SOPs regarding the coronavirus during Muharramul Haram to curb the spread of the pandemic.
