PESHAWAR: Like other parts of the country, a monsoon plantation campaign launched in sub-division Landi Kotal on Sunday. In this connection, a gathering was organized in Deputy Commissioner, Khyber rest house lawn, during which the Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Noorul Haq Qadri as chief guest formally inaugurated tree plantation campaign.
Member provincial assembly Wilson Wazir, large number of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers, volunteers of Tiger Force tribal elders, administrative and forest department officials and member of the civil society were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion the Noorul Haq Qadri said that no one could deny the importance of plants and therefore the incumbent government of PTI under the dynamic leadership of the Prime Minister Imran Khan formulated an impressive strategy to enhance tree plantation across the country.
"Greenery and plants not only halt devastation of floods but also develop a healthy environment besides increasing water resources", he remarked. He urged every segment of the society including political workers, ulemas, and elites etc. to come forward and join hands with them to give practical form to the "green and clean Pakistan" plan of PM, Imran Khan.
