Muharram processions: NCOC warns of spike in coronavirus cases if SOPs not followed

ISLAMABAD: The National Command and Operations Centre (NCOC) Monday warned of a potential spike in the coronavirus cases, if health guidelines and code of conduct for Muharramul Haram processions were not followed.

The NCOC meeting was held here under the chairmanship of Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar to discuss the coronavirus-related standard operating procedures (SOPs) ahead of the Muharram processions.

The forum, while expressing complete satisfaction over the present situation, deliberated upon upcoming Muharramul Haram processions and measures to ensure public health and safety.
