ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister's Office has expressed annoyance over performance of 10 senior officers of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and ordered to reopen 556 complaints of citizens as these were not resolved on merit. According to the Prime Minister's Office, the Prime Minister Delivery Unit has received performance report of the FBR officials and report forwarded by the chairman FBR was submitted to Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Pakistan Citizens' Portal has completed the scrutiny of 68 FBR officers' dashboard and 10 senior officers were conveyed displeasure and directed to improve their performance with regard to solving people's complaints.
The Member Customs Policy FBR, DG Customs Intelligence, chief collector Balochistan were dispatched warning letter with displeasure, while chief commissioner IR Karachi, chief collector Islamabad, DG Customs Karachi were warned to improve their performance, member customs operations and chief commissioner IR Faisalabad were also warned to improve their performance about resolving people's complaints.
The PM office has warned of strict action if performance remained unsatisfactory, according to report. The prime minister has directed the citizens' complaints should be resolved on merit. Meanwhile, according to the report, PM office has also appreciated the better performance of member IT, chief management IR, chief commissioner IR Rawalpindi and Bahawalpur in solving the complaints.
