ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan wants to use legal means to bring back former prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Quaid Nawaz Sharif. According to media reports, the prime minister stated that it is the responsibility of the government to bring back those wanted by the courts. The prime minister was chairing a meeting of the government and party spokespersons, the reports said on Monday.
The meeting discussed the strategy of the opposition in the current political situation. The prime minister said the PML-N played politics on former prime minister Nawaz Sharif's health. The government would not be "blackmailed" by the opposition, he categorically said. The focus of the opposition is not on the national interest but on getting rid of the cases against the Sharifs.
The strategy regarding the approval of the FATF laws in the National Assembly was also discussed during the meeting. The prime minister directed the spokespersons to effectively highlight the improvement in the economic situation of the country, and said that the positive outcome of decisions related to the economy has begun to come, the reports added.
