Karachi has been receiving heavy rains since the morning which will continue till Thursday, as per Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

Several areas in the port city started receiving rain early in the morning. Malir, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Gulistan-e-Johar, Shah Faisal Colony, DHA, Mehmoodabad, Akhtar Colony, Clifton, Karsaz are among many areas witnessing heavy rainfall with intermittent moderate showers.

The heavy showers triggered a landslide near Gulistan-e-Johar's Munawwar Chowrangi. However, no deaths and injuries have been reported. Multiple cars and motorcycles were damaged in the landslide.

Meanwhile, several areas in the city have been deprived of electricity since morning. K-Electric has urged citizens to adopt precautionary measures and asked people to keep a safe distance from broken wires, electric poles.

Apart from Karachi, Hyderabad, Badin, Mirpurkhas, Jamshoro, Kotri, Tando Muhammad Khan, Nawabshah and other parts of Sindh are receiving showers.
