Power shortfall has reduced to 3458MW but still power breakdowns are a routine matter in major cities of Punjab, including Lahore. The domestic consumers are facing load shedding not only day time but also in the wee hours. Demand for power stood at 16740MW against a supply of 13282MW during last 24 hours, leading to up to 10 hours load shedding a city like Lahore.
Situation in smaller towns and rural areas is worst where consumers are facing long hour power failures. Supply cuts are being described as main cause behind the phenomenon.
