KARACHI: Sindh Government has transferred Commissioner Karachi Dr Iftikhar Ali Shahlwani as Secretary Local Government Sindh with immediate effect, while Suhail Rajput is made new Commissioner Karachi.

According to an official notification, Dr. Iftikhar Ali Shalwani, an officer of PAS (BS-21) Commissioner Karachi Division is transferred and posted with immediate effect and until further order as Secretary, Local Government & Housing Town Planning Department. It may be noted that the post was vacant after arrest of Roshan Ali Sheikh, former Secretary LG and by the NAB in a case of illegal allotment of lands.
