Pakistan’s Serene Air to commence international operations next month

Pakistan’s airline Serene Air is all set to commence its international operations from the next month.

As per details, the airline which will be the third largest in the country after the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) and AirBlue will start its operations in October, with Dubai being its first international destination.

"Serene Air is ready to commence international operations to Dubai and Sharjah in the UAE and followed by Jeddah and Riyadh in Saudi Arabia," said Muhammad Safdar Khan, CEO of Serene Air, quoted Khaleej Times.

Safdar further added that his company has done its homework to expand itself in China and the UK and was of the view that Serene Air's signature would soon appear on the international radar.

"We will foray into the Saudi market later this year and we also have firm plans to explore key destinations in China and the UK," said Sohail Sheikh, country manager of Serene Air in the UAE. He further added that the airline is all set to launch regular services to Dubai and Sharjah in the first phase of entering the international market.

It is pertinent to mention that the airline initiated its domestic operations in 2017, and in March conducted chartered flights to bring back stranded Pakistanis from the Middle East amid COVID pandemic.
