Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has announced to stage a sit-in against the reopening of Nato supply route here in Hayatabad on July 16 and will also stage a protest march on July 17. The march led by JI Chief Syed Manawar Hassan will be started from Bagh-e-Naran (Hayatabad) and will be culminated at Bab-e-Khyber, Jamrud, KA.
The JI workers had started preparations for sit-in and protest march and a large number of people are likely to participate. According to Israrullah Khan Advocate, JI Secretary Information, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the party beside district organisational set up has also activated probable candidates for National and Provincial Assemblies to guarantee the participation of maximum number of people both in sit-in and protest march.
He said the process of corner and public meetings had been started to mobilise people for participation in the political events. In the provincial metropolis, banners and billboards for the advertising of the protest sit-in and march are being put on display. He said the people of KP in sit-in and the march would prove that the people would not allow the restoration of Nato supplies in any circumstances.
