Eight burnt alive, 28 injured in road accident

At least eight pilgrims were burnt alive while 28 others were injured in a coach and car collision near Rasool Abad on National Highway here on Tuesday night. The coach carrying pilgrims from Sehwsan Sharif to Sadiqabad collided head-on with a car coming from the opposite direction.
Both the vehicles caught fire as a result of the accident. Eight people including Razak Faqeer, Saleem, Amina, Sonia, Mehran Khatoon, Irfan Mangi, and two other unidentified were burnt alive while 28 other passengers of both vehicles including Kaloo, Darya Khan, Hasnain , Irshad, Umar Farooq, Kishawar Khatoon, Mehwish, Zarina, Fazal, Sadiq, Bilawal, Rana Manzoor, Abdul Latif travelling by coach and Ghualm Abbas, Mai Wadhul, Aslam of in the car received injuries. They were shifted to Hingorja, Ranipur, Gambat, Nawabshah and other hospitals for treatment where condition of ten injured stated to be serious.
According to eye witnesses both vehicles were completely gutted. The fire brigade was called but did not reach while motorway police reached in time and rescued the injured passengers from coach.
