KARACHI: On Wednesday, Pakistan Rupee exhibited a mixed trend. It slightly went down against USD in interbank market while remaining unchanged for buying and gaining value for selling in open market against USD and Euro.
INTER-BANK MARKET RATES: In the interbank market, Pakistan Rupee lost 5 paisas for both buying and selling against USD over yesterday's rates closing at 166.35 and 166.50 respectively.
OPEN MARKET RATES: In the open market, PKR remained unchanged for buying while gaining 10 pasias for selling against USD over yesterday's rates closing at 166.50 and 166.70 respectively.
Against Euro, PKR remained unchanged for buying while gaining 50 pasias for selling over yesterday's rates closing at 195 and 196 respectively.
Against UAE Dirham, PKR remained unchanged for buying while gaining 10 pasias for selling closing at 45.10 and 45.30 respectively.
Against Saudi Riyal, PKR lost 5 paisas for buying while remaining unchanged for selling closing at 43.95 and 44.10 respectively.

RUPEE IN LAHORE: The Pak rupee depreciated its worth in the process of trading against the American dollar in the local currency market on Wednesday.
Following fresh buyers' interest in the market, the dollar resumed trading on a healthy note and kept on rising throughout the trading session. As a result, the dollar ended higher for buying and selling at Rs 166.10 and Rs 167.20 against the overnight closing rate of Rs 166.00 and Rs 166.50 respectively, local currency dealers said.
On the other hand, the rupee maintained upward slide for the third consecutive day versus the pound sterling. At the close of trading, the pound's buying and selling rates significantly decreased from Tuesday closing trend of Rs 217.00 and Rs 218.90 to Rs 214.50 and Rs 216.00 respectively, they added.
RUPEE IN ISLAMABAD AND RAWALPINDI: The rupee recovered 50 paisas against the dollar at the open currency markets of Islamabad and Rawalpindi here on Wednesday.
The dollar opened at Rs 166.50 (buying) and Rs167(selling) against last rate of Rs167(buying) and Rs 167.10(selling).
It closed at Rs 166.50 (buying) and Rs 167 (selling).
The buying and selling rates of one tola of gold was Rs121,100(selling) and Rs121,000(buying) in the local Sarafa (gold) markets of twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
