(Karachi) Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa has said that all elements of national power are united towards ensuring long awaited peace, progress and prosperity in the region, a statement issued by Inter-Services Public Relation (ISPR) stated on Monday.
A delegation headed by Ambassador Zalmay Khalilzad, US Special Representative for Afghanistan Reconciliation called on COAS at GHQ, today. According to ISPR, a delegation headed by US Special Representative for Afghanistan Reconciliation Ambassador Zalmay Khalilzad, called on COAS at General Headquarters. Pakistan's Special Representative for Afghanistan Ambassador Mohammad Sadiq was also present.
During thee meeting, matters of mutual interest, regional security and ongoing Afghan Reconciliation Process were discussed.

On the occasion, Khalilzad appreciated Pakistan's efforts and role in ongoing peace process. Zalmay Khalilzad said that it could not have succeeded without Pakistan's sincere and unconditional support.
Bajwa told the visiting delegation that Prime Minister Imran Khan has given clear vision regarding peace and connectivity in the region.
