ISLAMABAD: The Senate House Committee in its meeting on Wednesday deliberated upon construction of additional family suits in Parliament Lodges, the U-plan of 83 suits of senators at Parliament Lodges, besides installation of new distribution boxes and transformers by the IESCO.
Non-availability of medical staff and facilities at the Parliament Lodges Clinic was also taken-up in the committee meeting chaired by Deputy Chairman Senate Saleem Mandviwalla.
The meeting was attended by Senator Mir Muhammad Yousuf Badini and Senator Dr Jehanzeb Jamaldini.
Showing grave dismay due of lack of progress, Chairman Committee, Senator Saleem Madviwalla said that it was high time that CDA expedited matters and ensured all paper work and bureaucratic hiccups were dealt with effectively.
Regarding construction of additional family suits, Member CDA was instructed to ensure that all codal formalities are in place and that the contractor must meet with him every week to discuss progress on the project.
The Committee asserted that a letter of intent must be given to the lowest bidder for the Beauty Parlor at Parliament Lodges immediately.
Reviewing matters pertaining to funds and delays; the Finance Division briefed the Committee that unless all documentation was submitted by CDA, affairs cannot move ahead.
While inquiring about installation distribution boxes and transformers; IESCO informed the Committee that it awaited a Demand Note from CDA.
About medical facilities at the Lodges premises, the Committee was assured that medical staff and facilities would be available 24/7.
