After a significant reduction in domestic fares, Pakistan's national airline (PIA) has now offered another facility to passengers.
PIA officials have announced that children up to the age of 2 can now travel for free on all domestic flights. Parents can take their children up to 2 years of age on air travel with them at no extra charge.
Previously, an increase of 10 percent was required for a 2-year-old child. However, this condition has now been removed, now parents can write their child's name on their ticket and let the travel with them for free.
It is to be noted that PIA has made a drastic reduction in domestic airfares in the last few weeks.
PIA has decreased the one-way fare for travel between Karachi, Islamabad, Lahore, and Faisalabad to a minimum of Rs 7,000. While the two-way fare has been kept at just over Rs 13,000.
As per details, the number of PIA passengers has come down since the Karachi plane crash and the fake pilot licenses scandal.
To overcome this crisis, various discounted packages are being given to the passengers. However, after the reduction in fares by PIA, some other airlines have also reduced the fares of domestic flights.
