ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Thursday reaffirmed its stand on two-state solution of the Palestinian issue with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as capital.
Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi took to the Twitter to renew Pakistan's call for establishment of independent State of Palestine on basis of internationally-agreed parameters. "Pakistan reaffirms stand on Palestine of two-state solution as enshrined in United Nations resolutions. Palestinian's right to self determination is inalienable and we renew call for establishment of independent State of Palestine on basis of internationally agreed parameters with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as capital," Qureshi stated in a tweet. In his response, Palestinian Ambassador to Pakistan Ahmed Ameen thanked and appreciated the support to Palestinians by the government and people of Pakistan.
"Excellency Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, thank you very much for your valuable comments. We Palestinians always receive great support from government and people of Pakistan on all the forums of the world.
We are proud of having such support for Palestine. Long live Pakistan, Long Live Palestine," the ambassador stated in a tweet in response to Qureshi's earlier statement.
