Rain victims need relief in Mirpurkhas

HYDERABAD: The heavy rainfall has left sever impact on the lives of the thousands of local inhabitants of Mirpurkhas district. People affected is in dire need of water and sanitation, food, health facilities and government relief response. As per figure released by Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), 931,901 people affected, 149,531 acres crop damaged in district, 39,621 houses partially and 33,449 completely damaged. Women, girls and children are suffering from the basic needs in this circuital time.

A small farmer from Jhudo named Iqbal Khaskheli shared that crops are fully damaged in the area and land are submerged with rain water. The crop was the only source of his livelihood; he has shifted from his village to safer place nearby. He said large number of population is on pity of government.
