KARACHI: Chief of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Monday hit out at the PTI government over ‘poor’ governance and ‘deteriorated’ economy.
Speaking at a press conference in the metropolis, Fazl said Pakistan has lost important friends like Saudi Arabia while China also became unhappy because of the weak foreign policy.
The US stands by India while Iran and Afghanistan are in close ties with Nirander Modi’s country. Pakistan, he said, was alone and isolated in the world.
Pakistani government has shown no sign to resist on the ‘fall’ of Kashmir and failed to gain support from friends on diplomatic fronts. He also showed disagreement on the making of Gilgit-Baltistan as Pakistan’s fifth province.
He said Imran Khan’s government is ‘illegal and incompetent’ to have the right to serve the nation anymore. Maulana was hopeful that the newly formed political alliance of opposition parties will smoothly go to resignations from legislatures after rounds of campaigns in public.
To a question, he said that he was served with notice from the national accountability court and denied the media reports. He said that his party continued a ‘principled’ stand on to dislodge the PTI government and remained firm despite all pressure tactics.
He claimed that the newly formed Pakistan Democratic Movement is the last hope of the nation to help throw out Imran Khan from power. He blamed that Imran Khan’s government made everyone suffer.
