The Saarc Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Saarc-CCI) in collaboration with the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Sri Lanka and in partnership with Friedrich Naumann Stiftung, New Delhi, will organise seminar "Trade Facilitation in South Asia".
According to an announcement of the FPCCI here on Thursday, prof G.L. Peiris, Minister for External Affairs, Government of Sri Lanka, will inaugurate the seminar along with Professor Madhukar SJB Rana, Nepal former Finance Minister of Nepal.
Vikramjit Singh Sahney, President Saarc CCI will deliver a keynote speech while Annisul Huq, Immediate Past President, Tariq Sayeed, founder member and the former President of Saarc CCI will chair technical sessions.
In addition to renowned speakers, professionals, practitioners and the government officials, Senior Vice President, Saarc CCI Ahmed Mujuthaba from Maldives, Vice Presidents Mahendra Parmar from India, Iftikhar Ali Malik from Pakistan and Kosala Wickramanayake from Sri Lanka will share their view point at business sessions.
The Federation of Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Sri Lanka will also host the 56thExecutive Committee meeting of the Saarc Chamber of Commerce & Industry, which will be attended by more than 40 executive members from National Federations/Chambers of Commerce FBCCI (Bangladesh), BCCI (Bhutan), FICCI (India), MNCCI (Maldives), FPCCI ( Pakistan)and FCCISL. Vikramjit Singh Saheny, President SaarcCCI will lead over 15 membrs delegation from India while delegation from other countries will be led by Vice Presidents of Saarc CCI from their respective organisations.
Iftikhar Ali Malik, Vice President, Saarc CCI Pakistan Chapter, Executive Members Fazal Elahi, Adnan Jalil and Secretary General Muhammad Iqbal Tabish have left for Colombo on July 11. Tariq Sayeed, former President Saarc CCI will reach Colombo from Philippines after attending the CACCI Planning Committee Meeting while Begum Salam Ahmed, Vice Chairperson of Saarc Chambers' Women Entrepreneurs Council (SCWEC), some other members and ZulfiqarAli Butt, DSG, SaarcCI have already left for Colombo.
