LAHORE: Terming Imran Khan's address in UN Assembly as true representation of the entire Muslim population, Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said on Saturday that the premier in his address has exposed India's real face before the world.
"Imran Khan is the ambassador of not only Kashmiris but the entire Muslim population; by highlighting Kashmir and Palestine issue, Islamophobia, terrorism, Indian atrocities on Kashmiris, Imran Khan has given a reality check to the world," he said during a meeting with PTI Senator Faisal Javed, here today.
Governor Sarwar said that the opposition's agenda is to safeguard personal and political interests. Those who criticize the Pakistan army and other national institutes can never be the well-wishers of Pakistan, he added. He said that 220 million Pakistanis stand by the Pakistan army and our government is strengthening democracy in the country.
Senator Faisal Javed said that Prime Minister Imran Khan will make a progressive and prosperous Pakistan. "We will not let the opposition's agenda of anarchy and mayhem succeeded at any cost," he said.
Moreover, Punjab Information Minister Fayyaz-ul-Hassan Chohan in a statement said: "PM Imran talked about peaceful resolution of the Kashmir and Palestine issues for sustainable world peace and exposed Indian state terrorism. History is witness that former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif did not even mention terrorist Kulbhushan Jadhav's name as Sushma Swaraj accused Pakistan of terrorism in 2016."
