KARACHI: Incoming President of Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), Shariq Vohra has assured business community that he will do his best to resolve there problems and restore the confidence of the members of the Karachi Chamber.
Speaking at 59th Annual General Body Meeting of KCCI, he said that Siraj Qasim Teli has worked hard to improve Karachi Chamber in 23 years, the situation is difficult and Covid-19 has affected all sectors but I would work together with my team.
He said that KCCI will be focusing on devising a comprehensive strategy to urge the federal and provincial governments to give preference to the economic issues and set their political views and differences aside so that the economic situation improves that would certainly lead to creating an enabling business environment, promote expansion and industrialization, create employment opportunities and reduce poverty.
Outgoing President KCCI, Agha Shahab Ahmad Khan said that Covid-19 has badly affected the world including Pakistan. Along with me, the entire team including officials fully represented the business community of the city at all levels and the mandate given to us was carried out in the best possible way. The members demanded of Siraj Qasim Teli to participate in the next Senate elections so that the business community can be effectively represented in the Senate.
