Leader of the Opposition in the Sindh Assembly and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's (PTI) Firdous Shamim Naqvi has submitted his resignation.
He has tendered his resignation to Sindh Governor Imran Ismail who in a statement said that the PTI leader has submitted his resignation on ethical grounds, local media reported. The governor further said that Prime Minister Imran Khan has not taken any decision regarding Naqvi’s resignation.
Earlier in September, Naqvi criticized the PTI government saying that it has been two years since it came into power and it has not solved the gas issue in Karachi. He added he will raise his voice so that the PM hears it, Federal Minister for Energy Omar Ayub hears it and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Petroleum Division Nadeem Babar hears it. "I will make them ashamed," he said.
However, he later took to Twitter and apologized saying his intention was to say that he will complain about the energy minister and SSGC to the PM.
