KARACHI: Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) is reviewing to install a modern electronic system to avert bird-hit incidents on airports.
Following the recent five bird-hit incidents reported during last couple of days, the authority assured to take all measure in order to ensure safety of the passengers.
PCAA also directed all airport managers to take precautionary measures on priority basis to prevent such incidents and added that the authority in collaboration with local bodies and other stakeholders, was trying to shift garbage dumps from the surrounding of the airports to other areas.
Moreover, PCAA said that they were reviewing the installation of modern electronic systems to minimise the incidence of air accidents caused by birds and urged the inhabitants residing near airports to dispose of garbage at designated places as responsible citizens.
