ISLAMABAD: The accountability court hearing multi-billion rupees fake bank accounts case on Thursday ordered confiscation of movable and immovable properties of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif in Toshakhana reference.
The accountability court judge Asghar Ali, on Sep 9, while hearing the case had declared Sharif as proclaimed offender over failing to appear before court, despite being summoned multiple times and indicted former president Asif Ali Zardari, former prime minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani and other in same case.
During the same hearing, the court had also ordered the NAB to submit details of movable and immovable properties and before it, in order to start process of seizing the accused properties.
As per the direction of the court, the bureau official submitted details of properties, bank accounts and vehicles of Sharif, and the court ordered seizure of Sharif's properties.
