KARACHI: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has dismissed its 28 employees over misconduct and their involvement in heinous crimes in Sep 2020. According to the airline, seven employees were dismissed over fake degrees while eight were terminated over prolonged unauthorized absence.
Similarly, two of them were fired over sabotaging company property while the rest of them were found guilty in several heinous crimes including corruption, immoral act of omission, indulgence in alcohol / narcotics, destruction of official record, smuggling, etc.
Meanwhile, PIA management stated that the action was aimed at motivating PIA employees to follow the organization's rules and regulations besides maintaining harmony at the workplace and should work as a team to achieve organizational goals.
