LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior leader Khawaja Saad Rafique said on Saturday that future of the country lies in democracy, rule of law and supremacy of the Constitution and the PML-N under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif would materialize struggle for a true democratic order in the country.
While addressing a rally of the PML-N held to express solidarity with PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif at Temple Road, Saad lambasted PM Imran Khan on his failures on all fronts and held him responsible for devastation of the country's economy.
The PML-N workers chanted full-throated slogans in favour of Shehbaz Sharif, Nawaz Sharif and Hamza Shehbaz and expressed resolve to standby with Maryam Nawaz.
Saad Rafique maintained that Nawaz Sharif laid the foundations of 'modern Pakistan' and mega projects initiated during the PML-N regime are visible everywhere. "Those who claimed to establish new Pakistan had given nothing except poverty, unemployment, lawlessness, soaring inflation and poor economy," he said. "Not only Nawaz Sharif and his companions but the state of Pakistan was harmed by these people." He said Nawaz Sharif wants rule of law and supremacy of the Constitution.
The PML-N leader said they (PTI) are labeling us as traitors. "We served the country wholeheartedly and are we traitors," he wondered. He added that they don't want to indulge in any sort of dispute but we have left with no option.
