An Islamabad accountability court indicted on Monday former president Asif Ali Zardari in the Park Lane supplementary reference and Thatta Water Supply reference.
The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Co-Chairman appeared before the hearing headed by Judge Azam Khan. Indicting the PPP leader, the court also issued a copy of the indictments. Zardari denied the charges against him, local media reported.
The court has also indicted 19 others accused in the Park Lane supplementary reference and 15 others in the Thatta water supply reference. The court has directed the National Accountability Bureau to present witnesses in the Park Lane reference by October 20 and in the Thatta Water Supply reference by October 21.
On September 28, the court had indicted Zardari and his sister Faryal Talpur in the money laundering case. The former president has already been indicted in the Toshakhana references.
